Most criminal cases are heard in the Magistrates’ Court. Anyone appearing may be represented by a lawyer and in some cases this representation is free – see the Legal Aid section of the funding page for details.
We have been asked before why it is important to have representation. The answer is that the prosecution will have experienced prosecutors whose job it is to secure your conviction. You need representation to ensure your interests are protected.
We can advise you about the law and the process that your case will follow. When you instruct RG&Co we will prepare your case to the highest standards and ensure that you will have an experienced advocate to present your case to the court.
You can instruct us at any stage – from being charged to the final hearing, whether it is a contested trial, pleas in mitigation or any other matter.
If Legal Aid is unavailable, our rates to represent clients privately are competitive and where possible we will offer fixed fees.
