Anyone attending a police station as a suspect is entitled to legal advice free of charge. We can represent you whether you have been arrested or whether you attend voluntarily.
The police must remind you about your right to legal representation. If you tell them that you would like a lawyer and ask for Richard Griffiths & Co, then we will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to speak to you over the phone and attend the police station if you are going to be interviewed.
It is always worth having a lawyer – it does not cost you anything, and the Interviewing Officers are obliged to disclose their evidence to your lawyer who can then discuss that evidence privately with you before the interview. Having an experienced lawyer to guide you and present your defence must make sense. Your lawyer can also make representations to the Custody Sargent concerning your release and is your link with family members who may be concerned for your welfare.
RG&Co lawyers have a wide range of experience, we are certain to have helped people in your position before so we can use our experience to your advantage.
If you are innocent of the allegation made against you, using a solicitor helps you to avoid becoming the victim of a police mistake or misunderstanding.
