At Richard Griffiths & Co we understand that it can be extremely distressing and daunting when Social Services become involved with your children. Our aim is to keep this involvement as stress free as possible. We will guide and support you through the process, advising you where appropriate and keeping you updated at all times so that you do not feel left in the dark.
There are usually three stages in the process. First, social workers will try to establish what the problem is. Sometimes this can be resolved through discussion, but if not, the second stage is when the parents receive a formal letter from the Local Authority. Meetings are held to resolve the matter at this point. If that does not work, then the third stage is court proceedings.
The aim of all three stages is to keep the family together if at all possible. Camilla Codling one of our team is also a member of the Law Society’s Child Care Panel. Our team provide expert knowledge, help and advice to ensure your interests are fully protected.
