Emergency Protection Orders

When it seems to them that there is an urgent need to do so, the Local Authority will apply to court for an Emergency Protection Order, which permits the urgent removal of children from their parents. If this happens, you are entitled to Legal Aid and we can arrange representation at court hearings. The applications usually take place at very short notice.
