Consultant Solicitor
Pat has over 40 years experience as a solicitor, based in Salisbury. She heads up the Wills & Probate team and is highly regarded among her colleagues due to her extensive experience, specialising in Wills, Administration of Estates and Trusts, Inheritance Tax Planning, Powers of Attorney and affairs of the elderly in general.
Pat’s vast experience has provided her with the skills required, especially in probate cases, to explain the legal procedure clearly yet sensitively. She understands that it is an emotional time for the client and ensures they know the rights steps to take. Pat takes time to talk through the stages and to discuss the right direction in which to go. There are many decisions to make and various courses to consider – these will all be discussed.
When it comes to making your Will, Pat will outline what needs to be considered:
- who might be appointed to deal with the administration of the terms of the Will
- who might be Guardian for any underage children
- who might inherit how much and when.
Pat will also discuss making a Lasting Power of Attorney for finances and/or health and welfare. It is advisable to think of this and to take action before there is a crisis situation. Pat will go through the implications and talk through the consequences for the client and their family.
